Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Machining Manager to lead our machining department in a dynamic manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and be proficient in operating various machining equipment. This role requires a hands-on leader who can effectively manage a team, ensure quality production, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Duties
- Oversee daily operations of the machining department, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to production schedules.
- Manage and mentor a team of machinists, providing training on equipment operation, safety protocols, and quality standards.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments to verify the accuracy of machined components and ensure they meet specifications.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to develop machining processes that enhance productivity and quality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to machining equipment, including lathes and presses.
- Implement best practices for machine maintenance and operation to minimize downtime.
- Conduct regular assessments of team performance and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Experience
- Proven experience in a machining environment, with a strong understanding of machining processes and equipment.
- Familiarity with Fanuc controls is preferred; experience with other CNC systems is also valuable.
- Proficient in using hand tools and basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
- Experience in assembling components and packaging finished products is advantageous.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience within a manufacturing facility is highly desirable.

Pay: $83,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
